Gigs guide

Posting a gig

Create an opportunity, collect the right application materials, and understand what happens after you post.

What a gig is

A gig is an opportunity for performers to apply to work with your venue. It is separate from an event, which is the audience-facing listing used to promote a show and sell tickets.

Venue accounts can prepare a gig as a draft while verification is still in progress. The gig becomes visible to eligible performers only after it is posted.

Build the listing

  1. 1Open Gigs and select Post a gig.
  2. 2Add a clear title, description, performance type, date, time, time zone, location, pay, and number of available spots.
  3. 3Choose what applicants must provide, such as an introduction or performance clips. Ask only for material you will actually use to make a decision.
  4. 4Set the audience for the listing, review the details, and post when it is ready.

What happens next

  • Performers submit applications from the gig listing.
  • You review applications from your profile under Gigs.
  • Selecting an applicant does not complete the booking. Send an official offer and wait for the performer to accept it.
  • Create a separate event when you are ready to promote the finished show to an audience.
